Readers of GLN News recently heard of the Live Nation / House of Blue cancellation of concerts of "Murder Musician" Buju Banton, who advocates murder of LGBT people in the lyrics of his "music."
After entertainment conglomerate Live Nation canceled its portions of Buju Banton's U.S. tour late Thursday afternoon, the LA Community Center took another crack at getting concert promoter AEG to cancel its portions of the tour.
On Thursday night the LA Community Center came through with the goods – a formal announcement by AEG canceling Buju Banton's appearances at their venues.
Unfortunately there are many other, mainly smaller venues which are still sponsoring Buju Banton's anti-LGBT hate. We encourage people reading this page to contact these other venues and encourage them to cancel their engagements with Buju Banton. We especially encourage people in the cities hosting these concerts to step up the pressure on the local sponsors.
