The October 22nd March on Springfield, at the start of the veto session of the legislature, is the pivotal event this fall whereby we can finally get Illinois to recognize the equal rights of LGBT people by recognizing same-sex marriages.

Rather than a "top down" organizing effort keeping most people in the dark, the strategy this fall is to mobilize as many of our community and allies to be in Springfield on Tuesday, October 22nd to demand that Illinois legislators recognize our humanity, or we will dangle their political futures in front of them. That means that NOW is the time to arrange to take that day off of work and/or school, and arrange to get to Springfield.

The Gay Liberation Network (GLN) and other organizations are arranging bus transportation from around the city and around the state to go to the march. Buses organized by GLN will be leaving from Rogers Park, The Center on Halsted, Pilsen and the South Side. Round trip tickets that cover our costs are available for $35, but reduced price and no-cost tickets are also available for low income people. Buses are wheelchair accessible, but we do need to know if you need that in advance.

Please go to www.gayliberation.net to order your tickets today! For more information on the march, go to www.MarchOnSpringfield.org
