Participate in Bringing Marriage Equality to Illinois!

March on Springfield for Marriage Equlity - Oct 22nd 2013

\GLN permalink 9-10-2013

What we do over the next few months will likely determine whether or not Illinois joins the ranks of the states respecting same-sex couples' right to marry.

And the right to marry, like all other aspects of legal equality, is about much more than the specific rights that come with that. It's whether or not the government will recognize LGBTs as deserving of equal respect from others, or whether the government will tacitly encourage all forms of hate and discrimination against us.

Gay Liberation Network is offering at-cost $35 round trip bus tickets (and scholarships for those who can't afford it) to the October 22nd March on Springfield for Marriage Equality for sale on our website, www.gayliberation.net Buses will be leaving from Rogers Park, the Center on Halsted, the 18th Street Pink Line el stop in Pilsen, and Hardtimes on the South Side (436 E. 79th Street, Chicago).

Make arrangements NOW to take off of work and/or school on Tuesday, October 22 so that you can participate in this important event in LGBT history!
