Pack the Courtroom in Defense of the Right to Protest!
When: Wednesday, March 9 - 10:30 AM
Where: Federal Building, Room 1225
219 S. Dearborn
The March 19th Chicago Coalition has been in a protracted permit fight with the City of Chicago for the right to protest on the 2nd anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. On March 20, 2003 the City arrested hundreds of protesters and passersby, and since then has refused to grant reasonable permit requests to protest the continuing occupation of Iraq and these illegal arrests.
The Coalition will be in Federal court Wednesday, March 9th for a pivotal hearing to determine if we will get a permit for this year's protest on the 2nd anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The hearing will be in Judge Hibbler's courtroom, 219 S. Dearborn, Room 1225, at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 9 (press conference at 10 am in the lobby). Stand up and be counted in the defense of civil liberties. Help pack the courtroom on March 9th!
