Organizing Against War & Occupation

While Bush plans to pump $80 billion more into occupying Iraq, social service agencies, including those targeting the LGBT community, continue to battle budget cutbacks and "faith-based" discrimination by government funding agencies.

As we have in the past when we were known as the Chicago Anti-Bashing Network, GLN is in the forefront of local efforts to organize against the U.S. war on Iraq. To protest the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, GLN has joined many other individuals and organizations in an ad hoc coalition to protest on Saturday, March 19, 2005. The group has applied for a permit to march on Michigan Avenue close to where Mayor Daley's police arrested or detained 800+ people during the protest on March 20, 2003 at the start of the war.

Please join us at the next organizing meeting for the protest:

2 pm this Sunday, February 6

at The DePaul Center

11th floor cafeteria

1 E. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago
